This Privacy Policy describes how Insunt System ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and protects personal information when users ("you" or "your") interact with our software application ("ADDE") that imports invoices from QuickBooks Online.

1. 📊 Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information when you use the App:

  • QuickBooks invoice data (e.g., invoice number, Credit Note, client name, Item/ service, Qty, VAT code, amounts)
  • Business details (linked to your QuickBooks account)
  • Login credentials/token for QuickBooks API integration (encrypted and not stored in readable format)
  • Usage data (such as logs or app interaction metrics—optional)

We do not collect sensitive personal information unless required and explicitly authorized by the user.

2. 🔗 How We Use Your Data

Your data is used only for:

  • Importing and displaying invoices and or Credit Notes from QuickBooks Online
  • Improving the functionality and user experience of the App
  • Providing support or service updates (if you reach out to us)

We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties, except as required for integration with QuickBooks or as mandated by law.

3. 🛡 Data Protection & Security

We take your privacy seriously and employ reasonable technical and organizational measures to safeguard your data:

  • API tokens and credentials are encrypted
  • Access to user data is restricted to authorized personnel only
  • We comply with the Zimbabwe Data Protection Act and applicable global standards (e.g. GDPR for EU users)

4. 🧾 Your Rights

As a data subject under Zimbabwe’s Data Protection Act, you have the right to:

  • Access your data
  • Request corrections or deletion
  • Withdraw consent at any time
  • Lodge a complaint with the relevant regulatory authority

5. 📦 Data Storage & Retention

We store minimal data required for app functionality. No invoice/Credit Note data is stored beyond the session unless explicitly requested by the user. Temporary data is deleted within 30 days.

6. 🌐 Third-Party Services

  • The App interacts with QuickBooks Online via their secure API.
  • Your usage of QuickBooks is governed by Intuit Inc.’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
  • We are not responsible for how third-party services handle your data.

7. 📆 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or in applicable law. Updates will be posted in-app or on our website, and will take effect upon publication.
